About Us

Dr. David Freeman, a native of Southwest Florida, joined the practice of Dr. David Winkler in 2004. Dr. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Emory University and a Dental Degree with High Honors from the University of Florida. Dr. Freeman obtained orthodontic specialty training at The Ohio State University where he completed a three year Orthodontic residency and a Master of Science Degree.

Dr. Freeman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (Board Certified) and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists as well as the American Dental Association. Locally Dr. Freeman serves on the Sarasota County Cleft Lip and Palate Team, is a Board Member of the non-profit organization FACE of Sarasota, Inc. (Friends for Aid, Correction and Education in Craniofacial Disorders) and is an active member of the Sarasota County Dental Association.

When not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Freeman enjoys spending time with his family in Fort Myers, hiking, canoeing and biking.
